What types of rooms do you offer and what is the price range?
We offer a variety of room types to suit different preferences and needs, with prices ranging from RM550 to RM2,000.

Who is eligible to apply for Hako Village?
Hako Village is student accommodation. Both full-time and part-time students are eligible to apply for accommodation.

How long do I need stay at Hako Village?
The contract duration is 1 year. However, students have the option to extend their stay until the completion of their academic terms. Short stay options will be considered case-by-case basis.
If I have a long semester break (for several months), can I keep my room until I return after the break?
Yes, if you plan to keep your room during the semester break, you are required to continue paying the room rent as usual to retain your room. If you decide not to keep the room, it will be released and made available for other students.
Alternatively, students have the option to store their belongings in the designated storage room located on the M floor for the duration of the break if they have signed a new renewal tenancy agreement. Otherwise, students are required to vacate their rooms and rebook a new room (subject to availability) upon their return.
Who do I need to contact in case of an emergency?
In case of an emergency, please immediately contact our 24/7 security team or visit the front desk if during office hours. For medical emergencies, you can also reach out to the nearest hospital or call emergency services. Additionally, if you require urgent assistance, feel free to notify our staff, and we will ensure prompt support. Our One Stop Contact is available during office hours and the Security Counter is open 24 hours.
Application Process
How do I apply for student accommodation?
To apply for student accommodation, please register an account on our booking portal. After registering, you may choose a room that suits your preferences (subject to availability) and pay the advanced rental fee and admin fee to secure your booking. Two weeks before checking in, you will receive a reminder email for the payment of the security and utility deposit.
How do I confirm the accommodation offered to me? What happens if I miss the deadline to pay full deposit before checking in?
Once the booking is made and payment is done, you will receive an email of the successful booking and the portal will generate the official receipt of the payment for you.
If payment for the application fees and earnest deposit has already been made, it is non-refundable, and the room will be allocated to another student if the remaining payment is not made prior to your check in.
Can I request a room change after moving in?
Room changes are subject to availability and the student waiting list. Please note that an administrative fee will be charged for any room change requests.
My child does not have a University Offer Letter at the time of application. Can they proceed with booking?
Submitting the University Offer Letter along with an ID/Passport is mandatory for the application process. If offer letter is not ready yet, the conditional letter from the university is acceptable.
Can I choose my roommate?
Room assignments are made randomly. If you have a friend, we will try to accommodate the request, subject to availability.
Costs & Payments
What utilities are included in the rent?
The rent includes water bills and RM50 worth of electricity per month. Any electricity usage above RM50 will need to be topped up by the resident. Additionally, residents have access to all the facilities in Hako Village and complimentary services.
Can I pay my rent in installments?
No, rent is payable on a monthly basis. New residents are also required to pay the deposit and application fees upfront.
How much is the deposit?
Total deposit is equivalent to 2.5 months’ rent. Earnest Deposit to pay upon confirming the offer (advance first month rental). Rental and Utility deposit (1.5 month) to collect 2 weeks prior to checking in.
Will I get my full deposit back when I move out?
Rental and Utility deposit will be refunded if there are no damages to the room, and all dues are settled upon check-out. Admin fee is non-refundable.
Can I leave early from my contract date and will I get my balance and deposit if I check out early?
Early termination of the contract is not permitted. If you wish to leave before the contract ends, you must find a replacement tenant. If a replacement cannot be found, your entire deposit will be forfeited, and no refund will be provided for any remaining balance.
Are there any hidden fees or additional costs apart from rent?
There are no hidden fees. All costs, including rent, electricity (above RM50), and any optional services will be clearly communicated.
How do I pay the rent? Can I use a bank transfer or credit card?
Initial payments prior to checking in can be paid via the payment gateway in the booking portal. Subsequent monthly rental can be paid through the student portal.
Facilities & Services
Is Wi-Fi included in my rent?
Wi-Fi is complimentary for all residents. High-speed internet can be purchased as a plug-and-play service, which is not included in the rental fee.
Are there laundry facilities available?
We offer 24-hour laundry services.
Is there 24/7 security?
Yes, there is 24/7 security, and CCTV coverage inside Hako Village.
Can I park my car inside?
Inside parking is available for free, only for registered vehicles.
I am a resident here, can I use the court with my non-resident friend?
Non-residents must register for membership to use Hako Village facilities.
Do you have a shuttle service?
Yes, the shuttle service is hourly from 7:00AM to 7:00PM. The shuttle takes you to the city on the weekends.
Can I claim free electricity for 2 months straight?
Unfortunately, free electricity is only redeemable for one month at a time.
How do I report a maintenance issue?
Report maintenance issues through the student portal or One Stop.
How often is my room cleaned?
Rooms will be cleaned once a month, including toilets and common areas.
Are there any communal spaces where I can study or socialize?
Yes, we have communal study lounges and recreational areas where you can meet and socialize with other students.
Are there any curfew or quiet hours in the accommodation?
We maintain quiet hours in shared spaces from 10 PM to 7 AM to ensure that all students have a restful environment.
Move-in & Move-out
What should I bring when I move in?
We recommend bringing any other personal items to make your stay comfortable. Please bring your own bed sheets and pillows, as these will not be provided. However, you can purchase at our mart.
Can I bring my own furniture?
Depending on the items, residents may declare personal belongings/furniture before moving in.
Can I have guests stay overnight?
Non-residents are not allowed to stay overnight, as visits are only allowed for a limited duration. All visitors must register at the security desk before entering the restricted area, subject to approval.
When do I need to move out?
Residents must move out when their contract ends. Failure to do so will result in an additional charge calculated per day. Check out process will be coordinated with front office.
Do I need to clean my room before I leave?
It is advised to clean your room to avoid any extra charges incurred, as the maintenance and housekeeping team will inspect it upon check-out.
What happens if I break the accommodation rules?
It may affect your tenancy and the return of your deposit upon check-out.
Can I extend my stay beyond the contract period?
If you wish to extend your stay, please contact the front desk at least 4 weeks in advance to check for availability.
What should I do if I accidentally damage something in my room?
Any damages should be reported to the front desk immediately. Depending on the severity, you may be required to pay for repairs or replacements.
